Rob Flynn appointed chair of Polaris board

Currently serving as the UK SME director of RSA Insurance, Rob Flynn brings a wealth of industry expertise to his new role.

The Polaris Board comprises representatives from leading insurers and brokers, collectively steering the organisation’s mission to facilitate efficient digital trading across personal and commercial Insurance lines. Over 100 insurance organisations utilise Polaris’ products and services to construct, manage, and distribute digital insurance products.

In a notable achievement this year, Polaris reported record industry-wide usage of its products, boasting over 500,000 policies traded on imarket and the highest-ever use of its ProductWriter, Standards, and Live-Chat offerings.

Rob Flynn, who has been a member of the Polaris Board since 2020, succeeds Deepak Soni, director of commercial at AXA Insurance, who served as Polaris’ Chairperson for the past four years.

Vivek Banga, managing director of Polaris, expressed gratitude for Deepak Soni’s support and welcomed Rob Flynn’s appointment, stating: “What makes Polaris unique is our industry ownership model and the support that we receive from the industry, which widely utilises our products and services.
