Bathurst joins as director of solutions broking, and Spencer as director of solutions underwriting. Both will be based in London and report to chief product officer Rich Smith.

The appointments of Bathurst and Spencer expand Verisk SBS’s team of solutions directors across broking, underwriting, and analytics, demonstrating the company’s commitment to providing comprehensive solutions to its clients. They will work collaboratively to analyse, strengthen, and improve Verisk SBS’s broking and underwriting processes, supported by subject matter and domain experts.

Bathurst brings nearly four decades of industry experience, having held various roles in reinsurance broking and underwriting before moving into technology. He joins from Miller, where he spent over 13 years, rising from business analyst to head of digital broking.

Spencer joins Verisk SBS with over ten years of industry experience, having started his career as an underwriter at Aviva, RSA, and Zurich. He then transitioned into technology, holding positions as a business analyst and product owner at Verisk SBS before joining IQUW as a product owner.

“I am delighted to have Gordon join the team and to welcome Chris back to Verisk SBS,” said Rich Smith, chief product officer. “Their combined expertise will enable us to continue developing top-tier solutions that address our clients’ issues holistically and comprehensively.”
