Addresscloud partners with Skyblu to offer insurers detailed perils data across Europe
The collaboration aims to address the rising demand from insurers seeking assistance in underwriting and pricing property-level risks in the face of climate change. It also highlights Addresscloud’s expanding capabilities in supporting clients with their multinational risk management.
Skyblu employs advanced actuarial science, climate expertise, and AI algorithms to generate hyperlocal perils information by analysing various European data sources. Through Addresscloud’s user-friendly API, insurers can now obtain insights on perils such as flash floods, windstorms, subsidence, and wildfires at the property level in several countries across mainland Europe, including France, Poland, and Spain.
Alun Jones, chief commercial officer of Addresscloud, expressed enthusiasm about meeting the growing demand for detailed and precise risk information for European properties and emphasised how “with this partnership we are now able to meet those needs.”
He continues, “We are looking forward to working together to develop this partnership and bring more countries and perils layers to our customers and the wider insurance market.”
Skyblu CEO, Kinga Kita-Wojciechowska, highlighted the synergies between the two companies, noting that Addresscloud’s established position in the insurance solutions sector makes them an ideal partner.
She says: “This allows us to bring our climate-related risk scores to many more insurers in Europe and we can’t wait to expand together to more countries soon.
“At Skyblu, we believe that address-level data granularity is key for accurate and fair insurance pricing, and it’s a pleasure to work with the like-minded team at Addresscloud.”
