Microsoft and FRISS collaborate on AI fraud explanations

How to successfully mitigate fraud – AI in Action

The collaboration will enable FRISS to develop and deploy more engaging and understandable explanations of its AI fraud model predictions. This will help insurance professionals and fraud investigators to better understand and investigate potential fraud incidents.

FRISS chose Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service for this project because of its ability to generate human-readable text that is both comprehensive and informative. FRISS will also be able to use the service to create explanations in multiple languages, making them accessible to a wider range of users.

“We are excited to be working with Microsoft to take explainable AI to new heights,” said Christian van Leeuwen, co-founder and CSO of FRISS. “Our vision is to transition to a more engaging and user-friendly ‘smart story’ approach for explaining our AI Fraud Model predictions. We believe that this will help our customers to better understand and investigate potential fraud incidents.”

FRISS’s collaboration with Microsoft is part of its commitment to responsible AI. The company applies the seven principles for trustworthy AI in its platform, based on the ethics guidelines for reliable AI developed by the European Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on AI.

“We are pleased to support FRISS in its efforts to develop and deploy more engaging and understandable explanations of its AI fraud model predictions,” said Matthew Kerner, corporate vice president of Microsoft Cloud for Industry. “FRISS is a leader in the trust automation space, and we are confident that its collaboration with Microsoft will help to make the insurance industry more secure and trustworthy.”
